3 minute wonder research
I loved this three minute wonder as it was really insightful. Karl Pilkington who is known for being a bit of an idiot is quite intelligent in a way. In the video he is wondering why people have such an obsession with life, death, ancient objects and dead animals. I find his points interesting. We are interested in things like ancient rocks. Especially when we see them up close. However they are everywhere. Same with dinosaur skeletons. They are in most museums so the thrill is taken away a bit.
This three minute wonder is interesting as it is comedic. It satirized Britain's obsession of dressing in a retro style. They did this by dressing young women in Shakespearean clothing. Throughout the three minute wonder the young women often criticize those that wear retro clothes that are from the 50's, 60's, 70's and 90's. They believe that those decades are too new so Shakespearean clothing is the way to dress.
I enjoyed The Wall pure Evil because it shows that not all graffiti artists are criminals or breaking the law. He states that graffiti is like skateboarding. A counter culture that lots of people enjoy. He knows though that there are limits to graffiti. Like graffiting "Welcome to Hell" opposite a school. What I also found interesting is that a lot of people love graffiti artists and respect them.
